Amano report reconfirms Iran’s commitment to JCPOA

TEHRAN, Jun. 03 (MNA) – The Iranian ambassador to IAEA Reza Najafi, said the new report released by the International Atomic Energy Agency reiterates that all nuclear activities of Iran are in compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Reza Najafi, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), touched upon the second report by Head of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano in 2017 asserting that the report has once again stressed that Iran has lived up to its commitments under the nuclear deal.

He underlined that the text of the new report is similar to that of the first one with technical developments since March being added; “the report mentions that Iran’s reserve of heavy water mounts to 128.2 tons as well as that the factory for producing the product is now going though annual repairs and overhauls.

The report also points to the continued research activities and development of development of enrichment as well as production of rotors and centrifuge parts within the framework of the JCPOA.

Iran’s envoy to IAEA the reports concluding remarks indicate that since the JCPOA was implemented, the Agency has continued to verify and monitor implementation of nuclear-related activities by Iran.
